A MAN WITH A PAST

After he managed to turn the tables and take her hostage, Talon should have rid himself of Kari's dangerous company at the first opportunity. Instead, he found himself torn between a raging hunger to possess her and a driving need to escape a passion that jeopardized everything he'd strived for.

A LOVE FOR ALL TIME

Confronted by a dark menace threatening all they held dear, the two reluctantly joined forces, igniting a firestorm of cosmic passion that took them to a final battle--pitting the power of betrayal against the strength of their love.
Excerpt:

Kari snatched up her weapon as she came off the deck, though she knew it was too late. Talon stood just inside the Nighthawk, legs braced apart, the heel of his palm poised over the hatch release. Despite the blood dripping down his neck, his gaze sparkled with unmistakable satisfaction. A smile slanted across his face.
How she despised that arrogant grin.
The hydralator mechanism whirred, the hatch ramp closed swiftly, and he was sealed beyond her reach.
Kari slammed her now useless sword into its sheath. "Oh, no, you don't," she whispered tightly. "You won't get away that easily." She pivoted sharply on her heel.
Talon dropped into the pilot seat of the Nighthawk and snapped the restraints around his torso.
"Strap in, Beryl," he warned. "I'm throwing her into full throttle the moment we have launch window." The Sylph slipped into her small seat bolted to the console.
He fed his clearance code into the hangar bay's computer, then punched up the request for shield-lock launch.
    Nothing happened.
The force field that should have dropped in around him--to seal off the inner bay from the vacuum of space as the outer shield opened--failed to appear.
Talon looked sharply at the director's booth built into the wall to port. The ops controller, an attractive brunette, stood behind the acrylic bubble. Her silver jumpsuit, nipped in at the waist, accentuated her shapely figure. He switched on the comm.
"What the hell is going on, Deni?" he exploded.
"You haven't dropped in to see me this trip, Talon."
He bit back an oath. "You were on duty."
"That hasn't stopped us before," she purred, brushing her straight black hair back from her face.
"Next time, okay? In case you haven't noticed, I'm in a hurry. Now, give me the blasted launch--."
"Hey, sweetie, I would if I could," Deni broke in, shrugging with palms upward in a gesture of futility. "I'd like to claim the credit for keeping you here, but that accolade goes to your friend over there. She just entered an override sequence into the deck-level terminal outlet, some code I've never seen before. I'm locked out of shield control. Where did you pick her up, anyway?"
